When's the last time you checked whether your LinkedIn, your website, and the way you introduce yourself actually say the same thing?
Most people don't think to ask.
Not because they're not interested โ but maybe because each one got written at a different time, for a different reason, in a different context.
It's only when someone misunderstands what you do โ or describes you in a way that doesn't quite fit โ that you wonder: Where did they get that from?
Usually, they got it from you. Just a different version of you.
I've been thinking a lot about this lately โ what happens when our descriptions drift, and no one tells us.
