Sometimes Opportunity Knocks...Gate Opener

Hello Reader,

You've heard the conversation.

AI is changing what work looks like. Entry-level roles are shifting. Young people trying to get started are navigating a landscape that keeps moving.

This week, Anthropic — the company that makes the AI tool I use in my own work — announced something worth passing along.

It's called Claude Corps.

Here's the short version: $150 million. 1,000 fellows. Nonprofits across the country. Year-long paid placements at $85,000. No degree required.

The only requirements: you're 18 or older, you have US work authorization, and you have fewer than two years of full-time work experience.

That last part matters. This program is explicitly designed for people at the start — not the middle — of their careers.

Applications opened this week and close July 17 for the first cohort, which begins in October 2026.

If someone in your life fits that description — a young adult figuring out next steps, someone who couldn't afford college, someone who's been watching AI news with more anxiety than excitement — this is a concrete opportunity worth knowing about.

And for the nonprofit leaders reading this: your organization may be eligible to host a fellow. Host organizations receive a $10,000 implementation grant and up to $2,500 in Claude credits.

Both sides of this — the fellow and the host — are worth your attention.
